Pocono Mountain School District (PMSD) is a large public school district headquartered in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania, serving communities across Monroe County in the Pocono Mountains. Pleasant Valley School District is a public K–12 school district based in Brodheadsville in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It serves several rural and suburban Pocono Mountain communities and operates four schools on a K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12 configuration. The district is sometimes referred to as PVSD or “PV Bears,” after its bear mascot.
